Some unexpected news....

Well, on Thursday, I went to Salt Lake Regional Hospital Radiology to have a diagnostic Mammogram and Ultra Sound of the mysterious lump in my right breast that I found recently.. I don't remember if I bumped myself on something or what, but I found the green-bean shaped lump about a week prior ......and my doctor said I should get it out and she wanted a mammogram...etc..
So, based on her reaction, I really thought to myself, "Self, you are over-reacting as usual..It's probably nothing serious and certainly benign"...... as she seemed to be trying to indicate... Was she trying not to scare the crap out of me?

So, I didn't worry. I asked the radiologist tech to do BOTH breasts and she said they routinely do, for comparison. I whisked through the procedure (gee, she didn't even mash me enough to hurt really) ....... and then she came in and said that they were going to do an Ultrasound too, because they found something in the LEFT breast, ........but the owie on the right breast didn't even show up on the mammogram!

I was too shocked to even worry about it and when the other tech did the ultrasound, I saw immediately two BLACK areas on the left breast....that's NOT good...I know. From years and years in Histology and working in the medical field in various jobs......
